    "Capcom's GC games not exclusive?
Gamers.com is reporting that after unveiling five new games for the Nintendo GameCube this morning, Shinji Mikami of Capcom's Production Studio 4 stated that, as of now, only Resident Evil 4 is exclusive to the Nintendo GameCube. As for the other four titles, the company hasn't made up its mind whether they will remain only on GC or they'll be ported to the PS2 and Xbox. Perhaps Capcom is keeping their options opening, hoping to make sure that each game meets sales expectations and reaches a satisfactory market. As of now, though, Viewtiful Joe, P.N 03, Dead Phoenix, and Killer 7 are only on the Nintendo GameCube.

We'll have more on each title shortly, as more screens and movies become available. Stay tuned.

I think Nintendo should persuade Capcom to keep these games for GameCube. Perhaps with a hat... made of money. They add alot of weight to the GC lineup, IMO. Not that the GC cant go on without these, but if people have to goto GC for these... I think there will be alot more GC owners.

Hey Capcom, wanna come over for dinner tonight? I think we're having money.

  6. Yeah, there's just something about a classic developer/publisher on a Nintendo (or Sega if they were still in the hardware buissness) system. Just feels right.
I thought you were gay.... i guess not.

  7. Well, Capcom games are pretty much the reason I even have Cube.

  8. I'm a huge Xbox supporter, but I agree with you guys. They should stay on the Cube because they are being designed for the Cube.

  9. These games NEED to stay on Cube. And plus these games were designed for the cube. Ports of games that were designed for a Specific system never turn out as great as the original system version. Just look at Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, the game was designed for the PS2, and then ported to Cube and Xbox. And the PS2 version looks the best, even though the Xbox and Cube are more powerfull systems.

Plus Exclusive games make things more interesting. It give you a reason to own a particular system, and drives up sales of a particular system. Its in Capcoms best interest to keep these games on the Cube, at least for in Japan, where Xboxs chance has already passed.

PLEASE CAPCOM! KEEP THESE GAMES GAMECUBE EXCLUSIVE!
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

  10. i dont know Gamers.com is the only site reporting this and now this othersite has picked up their report

    makes me go hmmmm

specially since Didnt R&D4 the team making all these games say they were only working on Nintendo platforms

i also agree about it being made for a specific platform it wouldnt port well
specially not to the PS2 i dont think the PS2 could do some of those games IMHO i think the Xbox would probably be able to but ports never seem to go well when something is made for a specific system

and if this does happen and japanese gamers pass on these games on the GC making capcom port them to say the PS2 with half the graphical expressions going on in these games and THEN they buy them, well thats just sad IMHO but thats me
    Where I play
