Buying a new tv, need some advice on features and picture quality

I decided to go with a $270 27 inch panasonic, component in, s video in, 3 composite ins, 3 line digital comb, I just couldn't bring myself to pay almost double the price for the same tv only with a flat screen.

Yup My Genny model 1 with the AV's looked AMAZING on my freinds RCA Vport, though now i really cant stand to play it on my tv since i have to run my AV's through my VCR then it goes into RF.
After playing on that i can barely stand current consoles on my tv.

Seriously? Damn, man. If you have an XBox, plug that puppy into component asap, the change from RF to that probably stands a chance at killing you.

go cheap now A(but not tooo cheap). You will want a 27" HDTV within the next few years. There are 27" HDTV's for 650-700 now so you now they will hit 500 in a few years. Just wait
