Metroid Prime

I think it's kinda lame that the intro seems to be completely ripped off from Super Metroid. And the music is not as cool either. Oh well.

Pressing down makes me crouch *and* go down latters?? WTF! Seriously though, I've never had any problem with the dashing, you just have to make sure you're at full tilt on the stick (left or right) when you do it or it won't register.

Well, my copy arrived yesterday, and I got around to trying it out this afternoon. What I found really sucks: the game gives me motion sickness. The only other game that has ever done that to me is Half Life on PS2.

It looks like I'll have to play Prime in small doses...

I'm surprised more people haven't complained about motion sickness. Very few games make me motion sick and unfortunately Prime is one of them.

I think this is a terrible analogy and just an oversimplification of his argument. Perhaps a better analogy would be in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo or SFA3 for GBA the fact that light and mediums are mapped to the same button. Tap for light, press for medium. That is a bit more of a problem. No one has a problem pressing a direction and a button, but the difference between tapping and pressing on some controllers is very slight.

Just finished the game this afternoon. Timer says 27 hours, and I found about 72% of the crap in it.

Unlocked art galleries 1 and 2 on it, and since I finished Fusion while at school a couple of days ago, I just need to find 100% of the items to unlock gallery 3, woo.

But let me tell you, if you EVER complained about previous Metroid games being really easy, the final portion of Prime will make up for all of that, I guarantee it. It's that hard. I nearly gave up on even attempting to finish the game because of it.
