Uh... I'll take the time to state that I'm not trying to be a cock in asking this, but
You have heard of Beatmania IIDX, right?
seriously, BM3rd Mix is like 4 years old now
Yeah...I'm not the most up-to-date for this is the latest one I played. I really like this one, and am afraid to try anything later. (Might be too frantic for me)

While we're on the subject of wrongly titled Beatmania games-
yuk yuk yuk!
Refresh my memory..what was new in Beatmania 3rd Mix? Konami went nuts in releasing the early Beatmania's in that they released them withing about 6-8 months of each other.
Oh, and yes..you must hear of our good friend IIDX...*Points below*

3rd Mix is the first and last contribution Novuo Nude made to the series (remixes don't count), and that sorta pisses me off. I thought they would have been featured more and would have evolved nicely with their sound.
Other than that it was mostly 2nd Mix with a few new things (OMG World Groove is SO HARD!!!!).
Beatstagewtf is that?
I think Beatstage is the Korean version of Beatmania. They also renamed Dance ManiaX to Dance Freaks, Drummania to Percussion Freaks, and Keyboardmania to Keyboard Heaven.
I thought Hiphopmania only existed in Complete Mix 1 and 2 form?
2nd Mix had the almighty "Ska a Go Go" though. I remember last year one of my friends from SoCal came up here for a DDR tourney and there was a 2nd Mix complete machine at the place. He could still bust Ska A Go Go one handed...nuts I say (Back when 2nd Mix was NEWWW..this was the thing to do. Like hell I could do it now).
BeatStage is the whacky Korean name for BeatMania. The list for their games go like-
Percussion Freaks > DrumMania
Dance Freaks > DanceManiaX
Keyboard Heaven > KeyboardMania
ParaParaDancing > ParaParaParadise
I'm probably missing one, but yeah =X

Sure, I've heard of it, but still have yet to see it.Originally posted by dog$

P.S. I think that was covered in my first post.
Guitar Freaks has the same title worldwide, as far as I know.
Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
The hiphopmania's as far as I know are not direct ports of the japanese beatmania's. They are rather a compilations of songs from the mixes up until the point of each hiphopmania's release.
It's just like DDR... all the good stuff they can't/won't license for the American market stays in Japan, and they bring the rest here.Originally posted by hayato42

Call it a compilation if you want, but at least with DDR (not too sure about Beatmania stuff), they leave out all the good stuff when it comes over.
