Star Wars: Bounty Hunter

I've been waiting for this game for a while, being a big Boba/Jango Fett fan. I thought it was coming out on the 28th, but I was in a store yesterday evening and noticed it was out now! It must have been released on Friday. Anyway, I didn't have the cash on me to pick it up right there, but I'm running over to the store tonight to pick up a copy. IGN posted a very positive review on the game- here's the lowdown:

Presentation
This game bleeds Star Wars from every poor. From the design to the menu, to the sound effects, it's all in here. 9.0
Graphics
Camera issues and somewhat choppy animation aside, Bounty Hunter still looks phenomenal. The ILM cut scenes rock. 8.0
Sound
It's Skywalker Sound and John Williams, need you really ask? 9.0
Gameplay
The bounty system could use some work and the enemy A.I. is Gumpish, but the levels are tight and the puzzles are fun (for once). 8.0
Lasting Appeal
Six worlds and 18 missions plus a boatload of alternate bounties, Easter Eggs, and hidden goodies. 8.0
OVERALL SCORE (not an average) 8.2

The overall review painted a very good picture of the game. Seems that Lucasarts has made a decent game here (which, considering their track record with Star Wars games, is a suprise). Actually, when I was thinking once about what a cool Fett game should be like, what this game seems to have turned out to be comes close to what I was thinking. I envisioned a few more tracking/detective/RPG elements, but overall Bounty Hunter seems like what I've been itchin' for. Anyone else picking this one up?

I wonder if Boba Fett is a hidden playable character? I haven't heard anything...

Now that's an idea! It would play much like the prostitute parts in GTA where you get a BJ and then beat the ho and take her money.

And yeah, the commercial is pretty funny.

I'm glad to see this one turned out fairly well. I'm anxious to try it myself.

But I'd be first to pick up a Human Tornedo game too.

Well, I just got back from the store. Now the game has to sit in my car for 3 more hours until I get to go home and try it out...I'll post impressions tomorrow, Despair.

Another vote for a Dolemite game, this time from DacaZ...hope those publishers are listening.

i thought the gc was the only system to get this game? at least that was the only logo i saw at the end of the ad.

PS2 will also have it I think...

PS2 DOES have it...I mean, I bought it, so if I take it home and find nothing inside the case but a hand scribbled note that says, "SUCKER" I'll be pissed...

The GC version's out on 12/4. From what I hear, it's the same as the PS2 version, except that Jango has a few more ploys and the game runs at 60 FPS as opposed to the PS2's 30-40.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll heartily laugh my ass off. Simply because that would be so damn funny... (And the opposite of what happened to me and Gitaroo Man.)
