Battle Bakraid- Gerk 9.16M (Normal), Kenshin Himura 3.23M (Advanced)

RULES: Play on the Normal course (6 stages) using full default settings. Codes that allow selection of additional planes are OK. Don't use Team Edit. Use the score from your first credit only. Specify ship used, score, and final stage. Feel free to change your shooting speed (the #20 attribute- it is how fast you fire when you hold the button.). A table for the Advanced course is here for anyone who wants to take a shot at it.

The tables will grow to 10 spots each as new scores are added.

Some good info on Battle Bakraid.

STAGE EDIT : To set the order of stages 2-5, hit A+B when selecting the game mode. Keep A+B held until the stage edit screen comes up. You can select the order of the Desert/Railroad/Seaside/Naval stages.

THE LATEST: (1-15-05) Freddiebamboo enters in Normal mode, taking 6th with 5.058M.

One more thing... 100,000 point medals will show up in place of 10,000's if you have a multiplier. Some targets like the large boats in the Naval stage can be bombed to get a quick multiplier buildup and a few medals.

BTW, feel free to take everything you see- Taking items does not seem to jack up the difficulty as it does in Battle Garegga. With the game having a "Timer Rank" dipswitch setting, it seems that the difficulty is governed by the length of your game.

I really can't believe I almost cleared this game on my first play ever xD

I might continue playing this game. I like it more than Garegga. at least, here you see the bullets

I agree about the bullets. Sometimes in Garegga, what you think is debris can really be a bullet. Other times you dodge debris and run smack into the real thing.

It's nice how the bullets stand out more in Bakraid.

Bakraid does seem a little easier (On normal... I'm not sure about the 8-stage advanced course at the moment). I don't expect to clear Garegga on one credit... not yet, anyhow.

It seems the Rank system in Bakraid is a bit more lenient. I've been grabbing shiploads of the shot powerup for a 5,000 bonus, and the difficulty seems to stay uniform from game to game.
