Looks like I'm going... the long way. Greyhound-ing it out to California from Ohio (can't afford the airfare). Now if only there was a solar-powered portable gaming system...

I always choose stop over becouse it allows me to visit some friends in New York as wel at no extra cost, that and I hate 12 houre straight flights.
One piece of advice: stay in Hollywood. Downtown is expensive, Koreatown is a hole, and there's actually some decent nightlife in Hollywood.
Yeah, but if that kid in the Zelda booth didn't get in, you'd be out a Kirby.Originally posted by Hero
it's sad, because...
the official rule is you have to be 18. It's sad that you can go to E3 and easily see that rule broken. Not to mention a lot of people who claim to be 'in the know' go only to stay on demos for long periods of time, and to crowd out kiosks. I really don't care why you're there once you are, but show curtosy to everyone - play a game for a minute or two, and move on. So it's sad to see that there's a rule out there to keep attendence down, it isn't applied, and so we get an environment where its crowded and people aren't all that concerned about being 'fair' to everyone else. Is this the sole fault of those under 18? No, but then again, the rule is the rule...and it's broken over and over.
My free pass is assured, it's just a question of money now. For what it will cost me to fly over/stay at a hotel, I could buy an extremely nice big-screen TV.
It's a tough choice. I'd like to meet a lot of you. Some of you I hope to never, ever meet in person.
I want to go...![]()
I've pretty much made up my mind to go.
Did they allow DV cameras inside? Digital cameras?
Well, I've made my mind up to not go. Sadly.
