Frog's right. We aren't gonna see the DWIV remake stateside, since Enix (or whoever the US office hires for development) needs Heartbeat to help them program a domestic version. HB probably owns the rights to the original code, and it's my understanding that they left Enix on bad terms.
It's too bad since there were to be a lot of improvements made on the original, but I'm almost relieved that I won't have to play another game that uses DW7's shitty 2D/3D engine. Here's to hoping that DQ8 makes its way over here *raises glass*
we got about 5 years to wait for the japanese release. i think things should be cleared up by then....wait....then it'd end up on a system that's on it's last legs again.....then when it comes to the states.....and so forth.
