  1. Hearing about these tales of idiotic gaming retail workers just makes me wonder how some of them got their jobs.

    Making heavily opinionated or falsified statements about the products your employer stocks, when speaking to a customer, is just foolish and unprofessional.

    A customer on 7/30/2000 writes:

    I have followed the show since the first episode. It is going to be a great game it sounds hopefully THQ did it right with Dolby Surround Sound and High-Res Graphics if so sign me up. Like everyone hates Power Rangers now but I love them still even though I am 14 years old . I am buying a copy right now and you should too.

  8. Hmm... I once actually heard something INTELLIGENT out of a StopNSave employees mouth...
    I was in there one night with my girlfriend, and we decided to ask an employee if the store had, by some slim chance, Valkyrie Profile in stock. He proceded to stare blankly at us and then said, "I think you should ask that guy over there. He knows more about games than I do."
    I'm just happy he didn't just yell out that they were out of stock, and then try to sell me a Game Doctor. He was HONEST! Holy crap in a ten gallon hat!

    ...and, no, it was out of stock.

  9. I must work in a good gaming area, I never hear anything that stupid either. If I did hear it from a coworker you can be sure the 2x4 would be out and in use in about 2 seconds flat.

    And we have Valkyrie Profile in stock right this second. Suikoden 2 as well, but I've got it on hold to pick up Wednesday.

    As much fun as it would be to jerk your idiotic customers around when working in retail, it goes against your employer's wishes, and does nothing but make people contemplate never shopping in your store again. Retail is all about generating profits and customer loyalty, and irritating or misinforming customers won't do you any good as a result.
