Starfox 64: The single BIGGEST RIP-OFF of Panzer Dragoon in existence!

This game ticked me off sooo bad. Nintendo 64 has gone too far with this. Here's my equation: Star Fox liscense + Panzer Dragoon engine + blockiness - smoothness = STAR FOX 64!

Graphics: 3/10

The game's strongest point, which is a sad thing. This game is very blocky. I looks like a 3-D NES game, really. Right down to miniscule things like the characters faces, this game is made out of my little cousin's toy blocks. This game looks smooth and acts smooth. But trust me, it is not smooth.

Me: So... who are you buying this for?
Guy: My ten year old son.
Me: *rolls eyes* So, despite the fact that he can very much be defined within the parameters of "kid", you are dismissing the system that is "for kids"?
Guy: Bah, no Gamecube.
My internal dialogue: Must... control... fist... of death...
Guy: Back to the Xbox and PS2. Can they play anything else?
Me: Xbox can play DVDs. PS2 can play DVDs and PS1 games.
Guy: So the Xbox can play PS2 games.
Me: I don't remember saying anything that reflected that, no.
Guy: So it won't play PS2 games.
Me: No.
Guy: Will there be an add-on in the future that will allow it to play PS2 games?
Me: Sir, these are competing companies. So I'd say that's about as likely as Coke and Pepsi teaming up to make a soft drink.
Guy: So you won't be able to play PS2 games on Xbox.
Me: *deep sigh* NO.
Guy: Well, can you play PS1 games on it?
My internal dialogue: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!
Me: No.
Guy: But you can play them on PS2?
Me: Yes.
Guy: Well, then, PS2 is better.
Me: Might I be so bold as to point out that if you have a lot of PS1 games lying around, you probably already have a PS1 to play them on? While it is indeed a nice feature, it shouldn't really be a major factor in your decision. Do you have a PS1?
Guy: No.
Me: So you have no PS1 games?
Guy: Right.
Me: Okay. So that feature really has no impact on you.
Guy: ... so, then, which system is best?
Me: *audible sigh* Here, PS2 games are here, Xbox games are over there. The best way to make your decision is to look at those and see which system has the games that interest you most.
Guy: So you don't know which is best?
Me: I believe I went over this. Both have their strong points and weak points. I like both for different reasons, and I'm afraid that I cannot endorse one as being the "best".
Guy: C'mon, I won't tell anyone.
Me: Are you implying that I simply made the stuff about neither being a black and white "best" or "worst" system simply for my amusement? That I have known all along and haven't told you to make your decision more difficult? Look, just... just look at the games and make your decision from those.
Guy: So there's no chance of Xbox playing PS2 games in the future?
*At this point, I tried to stay as far away from him as possible until he left*

Pretty much EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER after I inform them that Xbox plays DVDs.

It would be funny if that guy is posting on some other message board about how he annoyed to fuck outta some dude working in a game store.

Here's some stupidity from the holiday issue of PSM.

2002 Not up to Task: One of our fundamental hopes as gamers is that the games we play get better with each software generation. But while 2002 got its share of great titles and technological advances (PS2 is online), this year's title library somehow just didn't measure up to 2001's.

PSM is a never-ending stream of idiocy. That being said, this feature alone makes their dirt-cheap subscription price worth the money.

Gamefaqs reviewer on Street Fighter EX3 for the PS2:

"The graphics in this game are probably the best thing about it and they aren't even particularly brilliant. The characters look very deformed like they were hit by Agent orange Vietnam. Limbs look disfigured and out of proportion. Sagat looks extremley overweight, Sakura looks like she got Psycho crushered in the back of her head and Chun-Li looks like she got a cinder block thrown in her face. The graphics are pretty and show of the PS2's cababilties, but could have been done better and ain't nothing a Gamecube or XBox and even a PC couldn't churn out."
