Well, I am somewhat interested in it, but why in the hell its PG13????
I'm not sure if I will catch it while it still at theaters, but I'm sure I will rent it.
Just got back from seeing "They" with a few friends. I thought it was a pretty decent flick, and my girlfriend had her head buried in my arm for a while. Anybody else see it?

I want to see it still, but had second thoughts after reading some lukewarm reviews.Originally posted by Chux

The PG-13 doesn't really take away from anything if you ask me. It was good, Ring was better. But then again Ring was an atmospheric type scary, this was a Something's in the dark type scary...
don't waste your time, it's a rental at best, and not particularly scarry at all
I second that.Originally posted by stormy

my friend told me it's basically monster's inc., but for adults.
I still dont like idea of making PG13 horror movies. You just cant make it really disturbing and dark with that rating.
And dont mention 6th Sense![]()
Come on, man. Just because it's PG-13 doesn't mean it can't be creepy and spooky - it just means it won't have nudity, cursing, or gore in it...which is a good thing.
I saw it, and thought it was pretty darn good - miles better than most typical teen "horror" junk that comes out these days (Jason X, Final Destination, Resident Evil, etc). The idea was actually pretty original for a change, the acting didn't suck, and the mood was legitimately, literally dark. Not the world's greatest creature film, but certainly inspired, with a different and cool RE2-type creature design by Patrick Tatopolous (the subway sequence is worth the price of admission alone).
I think it's great that there's a trend of non-graphic PG-13 horror films - it forces the filmmakers to be inventive and creative and not fall back on showing naked girls getting mutilated (saw a trailer for House of 1000 Corpses...case in point). It doesn't allow the filmmakers to hide a shoddy script and high-school-level acting under a mask of fake blood and bad CG effects.
Night did a great job of doing this with Signs, as was Donnie Darko, and THEY is another example. I hope this trend continues.
I thought it was much better than The Ring, but that's not saying much - IMO The Ring was pretty poor.....

Well, I want GORE in my horror filmsI'm a big fan of gore and sfx so more the better for me
Well, I'm glad that They actually is somewhat original, and since I trust Bio choices, I will try to see it
Still, PG13 is usually is the way trying to attract bigger audiences, involving youger kids, and that actually LIMITS the number of thing THEY CAN DO.
