gameoverDude: Damned good idea...as long as Capcom can pull off SF3's 2D animation on the PS2. The PS2 can do 2D, but I'm not sure if it can do it as well as, or as easily as its competitors can.
I'll gladly pay $50 for that! A SFIII compilation would hit the spot.Originally posted by gameoverDude
That being said... Capcom should bring out a Street Fighter III on PS2 with all three games on one CD.Seriously. It may not be as popular as MVC2, but there are likely some people out there who enjoy SFIII but passed on the Dreamcast.
I can't wait for MvC2 on Xbox Live. Now only if mas sticks were Xbox compatible...

I've had the Japanese Xbox version for a few weeks now. It's good fun but I think people would laugh at my Guile/Zangief/Strider team :P I don't play it seriously and the pad is really impossible to play with: you have to only lightly tap the trigger for an assist to work. Push them down too far and nothing will happen. Also the edge of my thumb kept tapping start by accident. Graphically it's sound but the red used for the depleted energy bar is nasty S-video style despite me using RGB.
And yeah, you can unlock art which go up in price at the same rate as the additional color costumes. It's very shit though, all you get is ingame art for that character which comprises of one b&w sketch and the character portrait.
I'd glady buy the game again for online play, since the game's Arcade Mode AI was so terrible
Maybe they revamped it for the PS2 version!!!
Yoshi has a point...albeit an extremely exaggerated one.
I'd rather play KOF any day of the week.
It's an acquired taste, to be sure.

Buying and playing are two different things and playing KoF and MvC2 aren't mutually exclusive. MvC2 is not in KoF's class by any strech, but I'd still much rather play MvC2 versus a live opponent than to play KoF vs. the CPU. MvC2 online offers that at my leisure, as will CvS2, both of which are inferior to my more preferred fighters. But the competition...it has to be there. Hence the splendor that is the arcade.Originally posted by Black Arts Viper

I couldn't agree more. I found it mildly entertaining for a while, but soon grew bored of MvsC2's focus on button-mashing, over-the-top supers and infinites. It's a game that just doesn't appeal to those of us looking for something technical, skillful and of tournament level game balancing.Originally posted by Jeremy

I think it's a great diversionary game, fun for an hour or two every so often. I can't see myself devoting any huge length of time to it though.
