Biggest disapointments of 2002?

Rebel Assault was like a 1995 PC FMV game... what game are you thinking of?

And Madden 2002 came out in 2001... are you thinking of 2003? And if you are... its obvious that you didnt like the series in the first place... so why exactly is it dissapointing?

Although they've been said over and over:


Super Mario Sunshine: A good game for what it is but easily the worst in the Mario series.

GTA:VC: Something about it...is just not quite right.

Tekken 4: WTF Namco? How many years did you have to make this? 4,5? Yet you made it in less than one, rushed it no less, and it has suffered because of this.


All are far from awful but still lacking heavily.

Sorry Diffusionx. The game that I was referring to is Star Wars Rogue Squadron. I didn't care for it much. And you are also right about Madden 2002. Although it came out in 2001, I didn't get it right away. And yes I have never cared for the series...

GTA Vice actually fits as a disappointment to me, because I actually had liked previous ones.

You guys are all insane. Mario Sunshine was damn near perfect. Best Mario game since Mario 3 (not counting Yoshi's Island).

Super Monkey Ball 2 is the biggest dissapointment by far. The level design is waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy to gimiky, and none of the feel of the original remained.

My biggest disappointment is Gamecube in general.

I've said it before but I love the Cube hardware and I have been dying to get one... but there is simply no software I want since I don't like the few decent games that came out this year. I don't like survival horror games so Resident Evil and Eternal Darkness don't interest me... I don't like first person games so Metroid didn't interest me. I've never been a big Mario fan and Sunshine is especially lame. The most interesting game I saw for GCN this year was Beach Spikers, which is not exactly a killer app!

Maybe next year will be better though. I sure hope so. F-Zero looks pretty cool.
