Right now, I'd have to go with Smilebit. I would have picked Sonic Team in 1996 (Nights) and AM2 in 1995 (Daytona, VF2).

Sonic Team, if just for Nights and Burning Rangers.

If I had to pick an all-time favorite Sega development team, it'd probably be Team Andromeda. Panzer Dragoon Saga is the best game ever to come out of Sega.
To show my support for Sega's older 16-bit stuff, I picked Team Shinobi.
Props also go to the Sega teams who converted Capcom's arcade games to the Genesis, whoever they are.![]()
Based on current games (who made who in the past is pretty sketchy) I picked Smilebit. Gunvalk and Jet Set Radio Future are my beloved recent Sega games. Shinobi rocks but thats only one from Overworks and Rez rocks but thats only one I love from UGA. And I am not a huge Sonic and Shenmue fan so that rules out AM2 and Sonic Team.
Barf! Barf! Barf!
16-bit Sega is hard to pin down. When I think 8-bit and 16-bit Sega, I don't think of seperate development teams.
Yeah, it wasn't at all like it is today, with clearly separated teams like Smilebit and Amusement Vision. I imagine a team was assembled to create a project, and then disbanded once that project was complete.Originally posted by Mfkzt

But Team Shinobi best approximates that era![]()
