I'm praying over here that Conspiracy doesn't take their sweet time with Tiny Toons : Defenders of the Universe when Europe is getting it Quarter 1, 2003. I don't think my prayers will be answered though

I have to agree. Being a fighting game fan (especially MvC2), it was cool making up differant combos with the assists. For me, the backrounds got real boring.But it's hardly mundane either. The repetitiveness was my problem... I just got bored with it. I didn't think it was too hard though... I've played much harder. It was definitely a great ideat. I would have liked some bigger badder bosses though.Originally posted by Frogacuda

The game's a beaut and it plays pretty good. I've only done about 3 fights but it's already a bunch more fun than Victorious Boxers. One o' youze guys gotta play this and figure out all the menus options and what all the buttons do and all the other stuff I am too lazy/stoopid to figure out myself. All's I know is B punches and R+B lets ya do super punches. No freakin' clue what A does. Looks like there's a bunch of game modes, and it would be very nice if Vs. Mode supports one cart multiplayer, but I doubt it does. I am thinking this must be added to zee Christmas List.
A is "dodge." Pressing it normally makes you dodge backwards, and left and right when you press the obvious direction. Up+B is uppercut, the sides are hooks, and down+B is a gut punch. I think you can only do Spirit Punches after a combo, but I'm not sure.
Now onto my second fight. I'll figure out the other menu selections later (the bottom one is options, which will also let you remap controls). Oh, and the boxing gloves thing works wonders with such a small screen, much better then having a whole person there like Punchout. Rummy's right, it is more fun then VB, good stuff.
[edit] Doesn't have to be a combo to launch a Spirit Punch, I've now done it without one. Though it does seem easier to pull them off once even a single hit has landed. The second option down from Story Mode is Tournament Mode, where you can just play through against the boxers using anyone you've beaten in Story Mode.
I also just noticed that if you pause the game they have a command list of combos and different moves for each character. In between rounds, you can use points (I don't know how you get points) to use one of three selections: Regain Stamina, Get Spirit, and Stamina Extend. Each can only be used a limited number of times (the number on the right) and when it's gone that's all you get for the match.
Yeah, that was bidget limiations I think. It was a very small ROM sizem so there was a ton of pallette swapped/scaled crap and none of the big bosses Treasureis know for. I think with more room to work with the game could have been alot better.Originally posted by bbobb

Thanks for the help, Mech Deus. This game is tops. Tried messing with Customize Mode, but I wasn't able to do much. Think I need to unlock more points in the other modes. Accidentally erased my save data just now - Kids! Don't say Yes to that second to last choice on the option screen.
Snap. I am so digging this game.
