Thread: And Famitsu says....

    It had better be better.
Ocarina could hardly hold my intrest. Maybe if I were an autistic 12 year-old Z-targeting and Auto-jump might have been fun.

Well, at least we know they (Famitsu) aren't TOTAL sellouts/Nintendo fanboys/hype eaters.
What the fuck would make you think that? Two Nintendo titles have gotten perfect scores ever, leaving a hell of a lot of Nintendo titles that didn't.

"Celda is lame, and if Famitsu, whose reviewers have actually played the game unlike myself, give it a good score, they must have been paid off. Because Celda is lame."

    Credibility killed.
Seriously. The bitches should have given it a 40.

I've played and loved them all, but IMO Majora's Mask is probably the best Zelda game ever made.

Go home and be a family man.

  4. I still don't see any Zelda game beating Link to the Past.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

  5. Why the fuck does anybody give a shit about what Famitsu says? If you look at a scan of their review pages, they give each review about as much space as EGM does. And we *all* know what people here think of EGM. And, I mean, look at Jimmy Carter's translation of one of the reviews - it sounds like something Halverson would write. Ive also read many, many posts from GameGo!, TFP, all over the net, in fact, who basically say that Famitsu is not all that if you can actually read the language.

Famitsu is no more amazing or brilliant than any Western rags, people just give it more credibility (sic?) here because of reasons not unlike "its in Japanese and we can't read it so it has to be better than anything us Western capitalist pigfucks have come up with".

  6. Famitsu is Japanese Gamepro, that's it.

  7. Its more like Japanese EGM, I would wager.

As I plainly said it wasn't MY translation but that of somebody else's from the Gaming Age boards.

People like to read these things. If you're so offended that people would rather read Famitsu's scores than read EGM's, start a thread about it.
bastard of the new world order.

  9. Oh, sorry. Yea, I meant to make a note that it wasn't your translation, but you made the post. I just left it out. I was aware of that. Ultimately I think its odd that people in this board flame EGM for their scores, they talk about how review scores mean nothing, etc., but when it comes to Famitsu, they flock to it.

Diff - I've noticed that you are on fire lately.

As for your point: it's correct. I would add that a review by a Japanese magazine may in fact have even less relevance to Western gamers than a review in a Western mag. Go figure.
