The series has run its course long ago. It peaked with Rocky 4, which is my favorite.
I'd rather see Stallone ressurect the Rambo character...
Nothing's in production yet, but you can see the info here. The reported story this time around has an aging Rocky Balboa getting in the ring one more time as a fund raiser for a youth charity. Comparisons to George Foreman's comeback have been made; Stallone even references Raging Bull.

Damn it! I was hoping for the all so colorful,
Rocky 6: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre pt. 7
:: Rocky enters the ring with classic Rocky theme playing. Chainsaw weilding maniac waves his weapon around wildly::
Ok, so I stole some of that from The Critic, but it's damn funny![]()
Yuck. Unless Rocky plays the role of trainer, this ain't going to work.
I liked Rocky 4 tooAnd Rocky 5 was pretty bad.
I dont think we need another Rocky film, especially if Sly will be on the Ring again.
Unnecessary.
Undisputed was pretty good Boxing movie thought. Both Snipes and Rhames were good in fight scenes, and story was interesting.
I think Stallone just enjoys playing Rocky too much - I think, from interviews I've seen that on one level he thinks he is Rocky. So I can totally see this happening. And when you bring up Foreman or Duran, it's not even all that unrealistic.
But that doesn't mean it won't be a dumb movie though.

I enjoyed Rocky V much more than IV. It wrapped things up nicely, and even though it was goofy I liked the "back to his roots" theme infused throughout.
I wouldn't mind seeing VI, because I like the character, but it is unnecessary.
"Tick-tock"
It's needless, but the plot could be quite interesting if it's done correctly.
