Ok, Fight Club is gone, so I don't know where else 2 post this (though I never went 2 Fight Club 2 see what it was like. Probably just post on the very subject I'm posting about.) Bottom line is, how important is it 2 the members of the board that members use proper punctuation, spelling, etc in their posts.

I personally find it incredibly annoying, and tend to pass over peoples replies if they don't try to use atleast a semblance of good grammer (aside from the generally accepted web abreiviations/emoticons/etc).

When people go out of there way "2 talk like this 4 themselves", I normally just think:

"whatever this kid is like 13*, and is just trying to be cool".

It's also like 10:30am on a workday, so maybe I'm just a little worked up lol

Well, I try to make my posts as accurate as I can, but I do tend to miss letters at the end of the words sometimes. Also, I usually dont bother to put ' in some words, and I hope its not very distracting to read.

If you're like Despair and English is your second language, it's okay if you misspell stuff or say things wrong. I don't mind because I know how hard English can be.

But if you make a thread like this because you consciously know that you use incorrect spelling and grammar, you obviously know how to spell right. So why not do it?

Like Kidnemo says, people intentionally just skip over a post or don't take it as seriously if the person types incorrectly. If you can't even spell, your opinion can't be that important.

This is a message board, message boards are not like "AOL Chats" or IRC or anything similar. You should be able to take all the time in the world to use proper grammar(as best you can, as mentioned above english can be difficult)
