My top pick would go to either Contra SS or Metroid Prime. Both admirably updated for today, and I still can't get over how well Metroid Prime has made the transition.

I DON'T play SOCOM unfortunately. I don't even currently own a PS2. My list is just a combination of what I feel should win GOTY and what I think the media will vote, differentiated by platform.
