The original NES also has it in the same spot for A/V outputs

  2. S video adapters were released for the Japanese Mega Drive. I know of at least 3 different models and to the best of my knowledge, none were released in the USA. I had my CDX modded for svideo by Jeff Kurtz and the video output is superb.

I believe only the original SNES can output S-Video. The smaller remake does not, sadly.

I can confirm that newer smaller SNES doesn't output s-video , but does anyone here know if the Super Famicom Jr. outputs s-video?

  5. No, the SNES US model 1 outputs S-video. Both official and unofficial cables were made back when it was on the market. Now, one could just use a N64 or GC s-video cable, since all three systems have the same output setup.

    To Matt:
Since pretty much all of the older systems can (or be made to) output RGB, would it be possible to make component cables for them? I remember reading somewhere that component video is a form of RGB, and it gave me this idea. If so, once I get my new TV with component-in, I'll be placing a cable order with you if you're willing to make them.

Thanks for the sarcasm however you need to only look at the 2 to realise that the nes isnt as wide as the duo and rca cables are allot smaller then the big thick unflexible end of the Duo's av cable....

So that being said the Duo's plug takes up allot more room in a cabinet then an nes.

The SFC Jr. is the same console as the smaller SNES, so no it won't. Sorry about before, I temporarily forgot the SNES Jr. existed.

Forum trolls have started to annoy me to know end so anything that even comes close to seeming like a flame or trolling sets me off.

It r only the internet after all so I shall relax...

Except for the blatant flamers and trolls I shall go off on them. :jest:
