Thread: The Boondock Saints

  1. The Boondock Saints

My friends have been raving about this one, and I just so happened to see it for sale in the Best Buy flyer for a measly $10, so I picked it up....

    THE BOONDOCK SAINTS

Very cool little movie. It came out in 2001, but I haven't even heard of it until my friends mentioned it.

Cool little concept... Nicely executed. I don't really want to go into to much depth about the plot, but it involves two Irish brothers who think it is their duty to rid their neighborhood of theiving, killing, and crime-committing scum...

Pretty cool characters... The FBI agent was a real standout.

This movie has some killer scenes... and the music is GREAT. It works real nice.

Check it out. $10 won't kill you.

  2. this movie has gotten so much internet hype.

I think its a pretty cool movie.

One classic scene that made me laugh uncontrollably was when Willem Dafoe (FBI agent) is talking on the phone laying next to his gay lover on the bed and he blurts out "What a fag.." when the faggot kept on messing with him.

    classic.

Personally, I bought it a few months ago on the reccomendation of a friend.

I love it. Just so funny, and some of the scenes are so fantastic.

  4. Pretty much every scene the FBI agent [name eludes me] turns out great: his opening scene with the opera music, the "and then was a FIREFIGHT" scene, the crossdressing scene...

    Funny guy.

  5. Yes, incredible movie. I heard of it through a friend who discovered it thanks to his love of all things Irish, and he made me watch it much to my joy.

Favorite scene? The cat and the wall.

  6. Oh, poor kitty

Pretty cool movie, I agree. I recently got Japanese dvd of it. I read that it had some scenes that were missing from US cut, and gun fights were more bloody

Theme was pretty interesting, Wilem Dafoe was a stand out as weird FBI agent, Ron Jeremy appearence was funny, and it had some nice action scenes as well.

I love the falling toilet scene.

  9. Best straight to video movie ever...Blockbuster was the only place that I have seen with it though, I rented it just on a hunch that it would be good. Turned out it was great stuff.

  10. When they fall out of the vent into the room full of gangsters, spinning around with their guns out... AWESOME scene
