Earlier today I was in Nightmare at the Chaos Citadel with another player, when a lvl 70 Zon comes in and joins up with us, only to go hostile immediately afterwards (the old "join the party to locate the targets to PK" trick). The Zon goes to river of flame through wp I assume to go after us, only to get killed by a blood maggot

I love Diablo II. Sadly, I'm out a PC I can call my very own at present, and my laptop is good for two things...games aren't one of them.

i need to get that box set... i played a whole lot of Diablo 2, but only single player (i just had my friend install it on my computer with his copy...) and i know the online play it great fun (i had a blast with PSOv2, so i kinda know what to expect)

I wouldn't doubt the power of an all pally team, maxed out fanat and concentration really hurts so if you add might, resist auras, redemption you'd be unstoppable in pvm.
I remember raping hellcows in a full game with 2 pallies near me, I'd use vengeance with conviction while equipped with baranars, it was way faster than my barb with his high end ccb.

Do Nightmare Mephisto runs over and over until you find some good stuff before moving onto Hell.

Beef up your Fanaticism, Vengance, Sacrifice as high as you can, and put a few points into Zeal. Use HP drain weapons/items/etc to offset the Sacrifice.

I don't get many good finds, people say I need more mf, well I can't find any good mf items either, so I am in the process of finding a good 4 socket armor and 3 socket helm for some Topaz socketing.

Ancient Armor is a good, low level armor to use for 4 socketed Topaz MF. And use one of those horned helms (can't recall the name of them) for a 3 socket Topaz MF.

Thanks for the advice alien. I just started doing meph runs about an hour ago. I already found a better helm and boots to use. One thing about Nightmare I hate is when you die you lose exp. I know Hell's like that as well, so I can hardly wait : /

Also I have fanat maxed and use it as my primary aura. I also have salvation that I use when LEBs show up, which is often now. I have put quite a few in vengeance, and practically none in sacrifice, but one thing is I have really low mana, so with vengeance I get about 5-10 swings before I'm out.

my first character was a Paladin, and i LOVED zeal... such a cool skill, as long as you don't put too many points into it

Yeah I have 5 points in Zeal, and it is definately a requirement if you use a pally, I cannot go back to regular attack after it
