Hmm...seems that New Line Cinema has set up the domains http://www.freddy-vs-jason.com (which redirects to the Nightmare on Elm St. website) and http://www.jason-vs-freddy.com (which redirects to the Jason X site). Rumor has it that the official website launches in May.

As for the bad editing in Part 7, there's a reason for it. Originally, Part 7 was the goriest Friday the 13th movie made, and tons of gore had to be trimmed to make an R rating (it seems the ratings board is harsher on the Friday movies than other horror movies). I've heard that bootlegs of the original version of 7 are floating around with all the gore inserted back in...I'd love to find a copy.

Well on the Official Friday the 13th board, someone posted a pic from part 7 showing the full extent of some of the cut gore. I was going to include it, but the person hosting it seems to have taken it down.

The picture in question is when Jason golf-swings Russell(the skinny dipping guy) in the face with an axe. It shows a geyser of blood shooting out of the Russell's face.

Anyway, after that lovely fountain of blood spurts forth it's final drop, there's a great shot of the body spastically twitching in the dirt. I still shudder at what 7 was cut up into, it truly is a shame because if the damn MPAA had left it intact (or if those rat Paramount ass-master bastards would let it out of the vault) make no mistake, it would be the goriest, most over the top of the series - - hands down

As for bootlegs containing the footage, you'll never find one. Only two people have copies of the uncut stuff, and they are the Director (John Carl Buechler), and Kane Hodder himself. Hodder occasionally shows clips from his copy at conventions

Well, anyway, she was just as hot in Jason Takes Manhattan, no doubt, but she had that stupid 80's hair and valley girl outfit, so it took away from her overall looks. Well, take this as you will. I am taking it with a grain of salt, as with all trailer rumors. An Australien member of the Friday the 13th board said that at the theater he works at, they recieved documentation from New Line stating that the film would open THERE in Sept, and teaser posters and teaser trailers in time for the release of X2 in May. If that applies to us here in teh US, then we should start seeing things soon. Here's hoping.
