PSX- overheating
PS2- disc read errors
Not including graphics or sound capabilities, what things annoy you certain consoles?
Xbox - Too damn big
PS2/PS1 - They break down too easily
DC - Sounds like a noisy printer
N64 - Analog sticks turn to crap in no time
SS - The 3d pad blows
3DO - The controller really blows
SNES - L and R buttons are made shitty
Genesis - Too many add-ons
TG16 - Cords are unfairly short
SMS - Pause button is on the console
NES - Pin problem causes 90% of machines to be somewhat defective
Coleco/InTV - They get mistaken for telephones
5200 - Non-centering joystick
PSX- overheating
PS2- disc read errors

SS - The whole battery bit.
Well, Lets see:
PS2 - Lack of hardware anti-aliasing. Difficult to program for. Many instances of dvd drive going bad.
Xbox - size, controller, have to buy add on to be able to use as dvd player.
Cube - decision to use mini-dvds, since those can store less data then regular dvds. Dpad on the controller, being too small. Weird button placements.
Has that personally ever effected you?Originally posted by Despair

Yes, Take Eternal Darkness for example. FMV movies are badly compressed and somewhat pixelated, since they tried to squeze everything onto one disk, and usually FMV takes up alot of space.
Take RE or RE0 for example, they are 2 disk games just for that reason.
You mean using mini-dvd's isn't the reason they had to design Link how he looks in "Wind Wanker"?Originally posted by Despair

Compare this to the Dreamcast where the internal clock resets if you don't turn your system on for a couple weeks.
As long as you change your SS battery every 2 years, you more or less have a permanent internal clock/battery saves.
--------
DC - laser drive death an uncommon problem, early controllers' triggers broke easily, idiotic 200 block max limit on VMUs, see respones to Click
NES - worst hardware design ever. *blowblow*
PSX- linking their copy protection with their region protection. why don't you anti-mod protect something other than my legit games, bastards... early PSX's may only work upside-down
GB/GBC/GBA - they're portables
Aside from that, I don't think other consoles bother me too much.
Well new butt ugly Link designs got nothing to do with that, whatsoever![]()

Good point about the Saturn vs. DC battery, I was pretty much thinking the same thing.
