Videodrone, horrific is too positive sounding for the page design.

  2. That could very well be the ugliest website that I've ever seen that wasn't intentionally trying to be ugly.

Jesus, how do they sell anything? I feel nauseous.

Has anyone had any experience with Best Buy's vpr Matrix PCs? They have some impressive specs for the price.

  4. Yoshi: I moved it since it has nothing to do with gaming, and you don't even mention that as the reason for getting the "Pee Cee" in your first post. Hardly any of this talks about gaming.

I figured that was implied. I don't need advice on what machine to run 1-2-3 on...

Not to mention the WORST customer warranty support in the business. And im not just saying that cause I hate sony, do a google search on it.

The Vaios are great, until somthing breaks and you need it fixed, then your without a computer for months..

ok, gang. Here is what I am leaning toward from I Buy Power:

    Board: AZZA VIA-KT400 DDR400 WITH 10/100 LAN, USB 2.0 + 8X AGP Main Board
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2600+ @ 2.13 GHz Quantispeed
    RAM: 512 MB PC3200 DDR
HDD: Western Digital 80 GB 7200 RPM Ultra ATA-100 w/ 8 MB Cache
    GPU: nVidia GeForce 4 Ti-4200 128 MB DDR w/ TV and DVI-Out
Sound: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live Value 5.1
    OS: Windows XP Home

The price is $1188 with some other niceties, like a silver case and matching DVD-ROM and floppy drives, plus matching mouse and keyboard.

    Yay or nay?

  8. Yay, but make sure you have one or two very good fans to cool down that monstrous Althlon processor of yours.

I have a Volcano 7 fan for my Athlon XP 1800+, and it works pretty well. The cool thing about it is that the hotter the CPU gets, the faster it spins, so there's little to no danger of my PC going kablooie.

  9. My friend JUST bought a computer from I buy power

  10. not much of an issue but i never heard of the mobo company and the hdd is ata100? is that all the mobo supports cause you should have ata133.

hey phlegm do you have the t-bred core or the original? i also have the volcano 7 on mine (1800+ t-bred core) and have that puppy up to 2.0Ghz and it runs at a cool 35C with a healthy workload.
