First of all, they never released a soundtrack to accompany the theatrical release. Which, you know, wouldn't be so bad if it weren't one of my FAVORITE MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS EVER. Then, for the DVD release, Warner Bros. only put out a full-screen version. Which, again, might be forgivable had WB not been negatively reinforced on this practice by thousands of consumers for doing that very same thing to the DVD releases of Willy Wonka and, to a lesser degree, Cats & Dogs.
So, anyway, why doesn't anyone show any love for the Powerpuff Girls? It's by far one of the best cartoons on TV today, nay, ever (WAAAAAAY better than Spongebob, IMO), and the movie was fan-bloody-tastic, but NOBODY bothered to go see it.

The Remix
I saw it in the theatre.The little cartoon network logo before the feature was better than the actual movie. My hopes were really high on this one, but it didn't live up to my expectations. I did find it enjoyable though. I still have that "Girls against the world" music video/commercial on my hard drive.
Also, Warner Brothers pretty much engineered this film's failure.
- They forced theatres to not air the movie after 7:00pm, while shit such as "Like Mike" had midnight showings everywhere.
- Before the films release, you could not watch 12 minutes of cartoon netrwork without seeing a PPG commercial, it was pure overkill.
- They forced the creators to slap that awful "that's what girls do" song to the commercials, and the credits.
- The future of CN movies depended on the success of this film, so you could pretty much forget about a Samurai Jack film.

No way. Spongebob is the most idiotically funny cartoon of all time. Well, maybe not of ALL time, but it's funny. I don't even laugh or anything when watching the Power Puff girls. I suppose it's all interpretive.

It's the same thing for me with everything Genndy makes: I love it to start, and then after 4 episodes it bores me to tears. It's the same shit over and over and over. I don't know how anyone can sit through Samauri Jack more than once. How many times can you see the screen split into 3 sections to see a robot arm cut off?
