So I owned Last Blade 2 for a while, but I never got to heavy into it, because of a lack of anyone to play against. Now that Ive moved to a school with a game design course, I have a ton of people that love it. Unfortunatly, Im not nearly as good as most of them. Please, if you could tell me some good strats for the game. My two favorite characters to use thus far are Shingen(sp?), and Moriya.
I guess I dont understand exactly how the combo system works, and I cant pull off more than a 5-6 hit combo with most characters. Also, how exactly is this grim fandange slice whatchamacalit thingy pulled off? Much appreciated for any help/advice.
All right, this is off the top of my head and it's been a year-plus since I've played. I have the Gamest guide so I can look anything up.
If you're looking to do combos you need to use Speed/Skill mode, each character has 4 command chains that you can input that vary in total ammount of hits if all connect correctly. Shigen can get a 9 hit string in this manner, and Lee can easily get ten or more. The basic string that will work for any character is something like A,B,C,A,B,C,A,B,(down to forward)C.
Power mode limits the amount of hits/combos you get to a set few but you also have unlimited super use with a flasing life bar (25% remaining or about), and from there can spend Super Meter to perform the Super-Desperation whatever the fug they call it in the US.
Winning with Speed Mode does take effort, as failing to fully connect all combos when the rare opportunity presents tends to prove fatal.
