Taters, what they are, would you like to know?

Taters are southern american and Irish slang for Potatos.

I'm not sure if they still use that term in Ireland but it did carry over into the U.S. when there was a huge surg of imgrants from there to the U.S.

It never caught on up North but, like much of the irish dialect and their slang, did down south where many of them eventually made their home.

Southerns don't talk stupid becasue they are stupid (well, most of them anyway) but becasue of natural and historical reasons.

I know most of you probably figured that out a little bit into the movie, but if you didn't, now you do.

OK, i think anyone with common sense would realize that tater = potatoes. Secondly, for your last line, it would help if you stated the movie somewhere in your post. I assume that you are talking about Gangs Of New York. Think before you post. Ok?

I have no idea either. Something as stupid as the concept of what taters means belongs in sound off with all the other off the wall threads.

But thats just my opinion on it.

Wow, you are an idiot. I dont think telling people that they say taters in a movie is a spoiler. Its a word you moron. So if thats a spoiler then saying they say kalabonga in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a spoiler. STUPID!!!!
