Spirit: Stallion of the Cimeron - awesome animation, cool story, wish the horses talked, oh well.
Wedding Planner - JLo sucks, but this movie was a pleasant surprise
Impostor - Everyone hates it, but I like it.
Hearts in Atlantis - another pleasant surprise.

I think I have bad taste in movies.
Well, despite Dog Soldiers and Imposter, you and my wife have similar tastes

    My latest viewings -
    In the Theatre:
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - I really enjoyed this movie the first time through. The second time I watched it, I wasn't as thrilled, but still enjoyed it all the same. I figure when the extended version comes out, I'll get back into it.

Treasure Planet - After the suprise of how much I liked Lilo and Stitch, I was hoping this one would impress. What I got was a boring movie with blah humor (An alien that communicates by farting? Seems like Disney has hit a new low). Thumbs up for including a cat woman though The animation seemed like it was heavily influenced by Don Bluth.

    At Home:

A Simple Plan - Cool movie Sam, gorgeous visuals in this one. The story was well thought out and had me guessing how it was going to end. I love watching Bill Paxton in a movie, and in this one he still manages to impress me.

Every Which Way but Loose and Any Which Way You Can - Alright, these two are fluff movies, but I love watching them. Every time I get done with watching them, I feel the urge to hit the bars and go drinking. Cool fact: Philo Bedoe was meant to be a role for Burt Reynold's, Clint was only supossed to produce the movie. After reading the script, Clint decided he wanted to play the character himself (despite the warnings from his agents).

until the vampires ruin the movie.
Well, Too bad. I think its a great movie, and Vampires added some crazy action to the second half of the film. I even liked Quentins performance as Richi

  3. Transformers the movie
    Trading places
    Sphere
Lord of the Ring: Two Towers
Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring
    Predator 2
    Aliens: Special Edition
    Transformers Armada
    Yu-Gi-Oh

  4. High Fidelity - Watched it again. Still good. Music store scenes are more funny than they were before.

Ocean's 11 (old version) - Pretty entertaining, but I wanted to turn it off when the guy's mom gave their plan away on "accident." A little more subtlety, please.

Ice Age - Pretty entertaining for a movie with super cliche Shrek-like characters, but still funny at times.

Minority Report - Wow, the future sure is going to be stupid looking. Clearly a "blockbuster" type film, but still weird enough to be entertaining.

  5. Sorry, My modem fucked up so I haven't been on for the last 1.5 weeks. I hope this doesn't look like a lame revival attempt...

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - I enjoyed the first film, but I didn't like this one. I suggest you all read Maddox's review at www.xmission.com/~maddox

LOTR: TTT - Yeah, its great. 9/10

High Fidelity - a suprisingly good movie. I was expecting a fucking stupid love/comedy type movie, but it turned out to be quite funny. 7/10

Men In Black 2 - Yeah, it sucks ass like the first. The michael Jackson Cameo was good though. 3/10

Van Wilder: Party Liason - Shit predictable movie with around 2 funny bits in the whole movie. 2/10

Super Troopers - Better than I thought it would be, but still quite mediocre. 5/10

Wet Hot American Summer - This very awesome movie begins like your average teen comedy, but after a while you realise its a subtle spoof on the genre. It gets better and better as it progresses. 9/10

Mallrats - Although Chasing Amy is a better movie, I prefer this one. Its fucking hillarious. 9/10

Count of Monte Cristo - Better than I expected it to be, though it was a very average movie. 4/10

Oceans eleven - much better than I thought it would be. I really liked it. 7/10

I'm planning on doing a fucking awesome rental run on the weekend. Any suggestions are welcome.

  6. Die Another Day - One of Bond's weakest outings. I was disappointed by the cliched depiction of the Korean military and rehashing of plot elements from Goldeneye. There were some great set-pieces and special effects, though, and Jinx rocks. 6.5/10

The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers - There's not much to say about this film that hasn't been said already. Does a great job of expanding upon the plot of the first, and the intensity of the battle for Helm's Deep, and laughs provided by Gollum are worth the price of admission on their own. 9/10

Spirited Away - I was expecting it to be good, but not as good as it turned out to be. Intentive, humourous, touching and extremely well presented, both artistically and technically. Miyazaki is a god, and this film is well deserving of all of the praise it has received. 9.5/10

  7. Well, My wife wanted to see Two Weeks Notice, so I took her to see it. It was a decent romantic comedy. Nothing new, and somewhat predictable, but it had few funny bits, Sandra Bullock was cute, and Hugh Grant wasnt bad either.

Accidently, I was watching Mallrats on tv the other day. Pretty funny stuff, but I like Dogma and J&B Strike Back more.

  8. I just watched Clerks. Its great, though slow paced.

  9. Sorority Boys - I vote this flick as one of the most underrated movies of 2002.

    the football scene is great.

  10. Grosse Pointe Blank - Still great.

XXX - The worst kind of brainless crap.

Being John Malkovich - Very good movie.

Campfire Stories - Worst movie I've ever seen. Maybe by lack of experience, but it's still horribly bad. Good for a laugh.

American Psycho 2 - Watchable, but still ridiculous and terrible.

Trapped - Good, but I find these types of movies extremely exhausting to watch (too much suspense). The ending was also ridiculous, but I saw it coming from a mile away.

Magnolia - Pretty good. Much better than the stuff I didn't ask to rent.

Malice - Like a Lifetime channel movie with better actors. That is to say it's watchable, I think.

    Almost forgot...

Zoolander - Kind of funny / very dumb.
