  1. When will people take off the blinding shades and realise that yes each of the three systems does infact have good games on it.....

I love this complaint, and I've heard it before. Does that mean that everytime you don't put "IMO" before your post we should all take it as gospel? Bullshit. Nearly everything posted on a message board is opinion, no matter how simply or confidently it is stated.

There is absolutely no doubt about that. There are easily 6-8 must play Xbox games, which is roughly the same number as the GameCube. The PS2 has more than its fair share, which is unfortunate due to the age and power of the hardware.

    I acknowledge this cerianly.

I just get agitated when you cannot ignore someone when you think they're constantly saying asinine things.

Yoshi: The question never asked for opinion, the following OT statement was not an opinion so why combat it with one? You quoted him afterall.

It sucks that Yoshi can't be ignored.

  5. FYI, the PS2 does not require a DVD remote purchase but it *does* require a DVD driver, which takes up considerable space on a memory card. Pick your poison.

Yoshi, did you really need to turn this into an XBox-bashing thread?

  6. Yeah Yoshi, just use the one I started about Splinter Cell going multi-platform -- Andy successfully turned it into System Wars XXVIIII, so go there and post.

  7. This fanboy mentality going on in this thread is quite disturbing. Each system has, and always will have, great games on it. After all, if it didn't, it wouldn't be in business.

That wasn't exactly my intent. I was answering this bullshit, which, as usual, the Xbox supporters seem to overlook when they attack me:

You don't need to with an Xbox, so relatively speaking ( and they ARE game consoles first and foremost ) it'll be cheaper to play games on an Xbox and about even out if you watch DVD's. Especially considering you'll never have to buy more than one DVD kit if you amass a large collection.......
That had absolutely nothing to do with this thread, and I was simply answering it.

    What are you talking about?

I just got a new PS2 hooked it up and popped in my new Blue Streak dvd and it played.

I didnt have to put in a driver cd or anything of the sort...

Perhaps because mine is a new model?

  10. PS2s never required the updated DVD drivers. Chances are your new PS2 has them already. The updated drivers fixed some problems with DVD playback, but it's still kind of crappy. You can get them by buying a PS2 DVD remote -- but check to see if your's are the updated ones before throwing down $20 on it.
