There is absolutely no doubt about that. There are easily 6-8 must play Xbox games, which is roughly the same number as the GameCube. The PS2 has more than its fair share, which is unfortunate due to the age and power of the hardware.

FYI, the PS2 does not require a DVD remote purchase but it *does* require a DVD driver, which takes up considerable space on a memory card. Pick your poison.

I just got a new PS2 hooked it up and popped in my new Blue Streak dvd and it played.

I didnt have to put in a driver cd or anything of the sort...

Perhaps because mine is a new model?

PS2s never required the updated DVD drivers. Chances are your new PS2 has them already. The updated drivers fixed some problems with DVD playback, but it's still kind of crappy. You can get them by buying a PS2 DVD remote -- but check to see if your's are the updated ones before throwing down $20 on it.
