Do you need a kit tp play DVDs for X-Box???

Xbox has a very small number of "must-have" titles. Gamecube also has a small number, but those are AAA Nintendo titles, and are therefore better.

And you SO need a DVD kit to play DVDs on your Xbox. It's a far better DVD player than the PS2, though, and lets you play Digital Leisure's crappy Don Bluth games without any lag, unlike the PS2.
