What the hell drugs are you on to think that OoT and MM look like the new Zelda?
But I am convinced it is not my fault. I blame developers using the exact same gameplay mechanics as other games to the extent that I cannot play these games anymore.
I mean for example FFX, it was supposed to be revolutionary but it was basically the other FFs except it was turnbased and that great sphere grid system. Zelda looks exactly like as if OoT an MM mated, hopefully the minor additions and "heart" will keep it interesting for me.
Why can't more developers take a risk and make controls that make the gameplay completely different but definately playable after a while like Retro did with Metroid Prime?
Where is the charming dialogue in games like in Legaia 2?
Where are those excellent puzzles that give you that great satisfaction like in Zelda games?
Where are those heart pumping moments where the tiniest mistake would mean death in the game like so many NES games had?
Must the gameplay be EXACTLY the same all the way through like OoT, instead of adding new gameplay like in MM? This is my biggest complaint how long can someone really keep playing the game when most of the time you feel like you are just regurgitating the exact same gameplay 10 hours ago?
Why not experiment with music like Rez did?
And to top it off, there are just SO many sequeal that pretty much add absolutely nothing to the series. And these games happen to be 90% of the cream of the the crop games.

Because REZ sucks and gets praise JUST for being different...
Why you ask? Because the mainstream gamer does'nt see it that way. When you have played games for a long time, you tend to notice how much the same, a lot of games are. It's been that way since the Atari 2600. All you can do, is try titles that you think will offer something different, than what you've played before.

What part of "gameplay" don't you understand?

Not really... had you done a better job of expressing your opinion, that may have been true. But, since you didn't, it wasn't.

[...] but it was basically the other FFs except it was turnbased [...]Care to rephrase that so it makes sense?
That's funny, OoT plays just LttP only in 3D.Zelda looks exactly like as if OoT an MM mated, hopefully the minor additions and "heart" will keep it interesting for me.And here you are bitching about those same games...Where are those excellent puzzles that give you that great satisfaction like in Zelda games?I think the bigger question is: Where are you looking? You ask for charming dialogue, and yet ignore fairly recent RPGs like Okage. You ask for tense games that require skill to get through, and yet ignore the recent Shinobi. Why can't more developers take a risk and make controls that make the gameplay completely different but definately playable after a while like Retro did with Metroid Prime?
And that last sentence in the above quote stopped making sense about halfway through. Please, do over, and let's try this again.
