not sure if they won or not but the lawsuit for columbine, the familes wanted 5 billion dollars. yes....5 BILLION. if they won that that would have seriously fucked the industry. sure it would have been split from 25 companies but thats still a helluva load of cash. and we all know that situation had jack to do with games or the mansoin music they listened to. they were just fucked from the beginning.

i know these arent the greatest of examples but i just wanted you to know companies loose a helluva lot in lawsuits and most are settled out of court like when people bitch about the advertising. i think a company payed a large sum because of their last add not too long ago....was a european company because it offended someone. silly really.

true games....and movies have become more controversial but at the same time more and more standards are put in place to make the access of said materials that much harder.

i always hated not selling a game to a minor only to have a parent come in and verbally accost me for doing my job only to return the game the next day because of it's content. i would always just laugh and asked why it was so easy to be a parent.

but there was actually one time when the parents were in the store and i didn't sell their kid a game. the father asked why, so i explained the ESRB and the content of the game to him and he actually said "we need more people like you working these stores". really made my day it did.

All governments are just as retarded as each other, if there is enough people wanting something, the chances are that the government will enforce it. I don't have that much faith in humanity to doubt that Governments will force ban things and let people make their own judgements on things. If I remember correctly GTA3 was banned here in Australia.

The esrb is a joke b/c no one pays attention to it. Most stores ignore it.

Whose fault is that? Isn't it a law in your country that stores have to follow these rules?
