In an earlier thread last week , I asked if the Xbox ver of Baldur's Gate was superior to the Ps2 version. Most felt the Xbox ver had better lighting effects, but nothing more. So yesterday, I picked up a used copy of the PS2 ver at EB for 14.99. I started with the Dwarf and so far I am loving it. I think the graphics are superb and the voice acting is very good. I know the game is a bit short, but I don't mind because I plan on playing through each character.
Thanks for your advice on this. If you are considering buying this game, I say don't wait it is one of the best Rpg's on a console that I have played

Aww c'mon if he really likes the game that much can you blame him?Umm, are you sure you've played BG: DA alliance already?
Anyways, glad you enjoy the game I personally loved it.
Your name typo aside, BG:DA qualifies as an RPG. Action-RPG if you want to get technical, but the label still fits.Originally posted by Rich

Dark Alliance is an Action-Rpg.
Rich, Why cant he like the game?
I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion and I appreciate you guys sticking up for me. But it is just an opinion. I guess my point was for the low price, the game is well worth it for anyone interested in an Action RPG Diablo Style Game, I recommend it. I would of been happy buying it for full price when it first came out.
To clear something up, I do indeed like this game. A section from my LotR: Two Towers review..
This is one of the better action adventure games to come out since Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance.
