Hybrid FPS/RPG, Purge, will ship Q1 2003

Tri Synergy has announced that it will publish Freeform Interactive LLC's Purge sometime in the first quarter of 2003. Purge is an online first-person shooter/role playing game hybrid in which players find themselves in the war between the Order (genetically modified humans for scientific perfection) and the Chosen (religious zealots who reject technology). Utilizing a modified LithTech engine, the game will feature eight unique classes, 24 skills, 32 weapons, and the ability to select from 32 premade classes or make one up entirely.

The original Phantasy Star is a prime candidate for a realtime-fighting makeover.

now Shining in the Darkness.. I can see that since there wasn't any smidgen of real complexity anyway.
