Thread: Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets

  1. Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets

Hmm thats odd their is no thread on this movie.

I have never read the book, but i actually liked the first one. SO i was very intrigued about the second one. SO i checked it out, and it was a great little film. I tought it was better than the first, alot darker, and more mature. We learned about harrys past a little more, and little more about Vardlmot too. all lot more grouism fight scene, which was played out very well.

i was quite supprised this had no thread, on this fun little movie.

  2. You know I had no idea what Harry Potter even was until I caught the movie on HBO a couple weeks ago. I had just heard it was some little kids movie about wizards. Well like you, I actually wound up liking it a pretty good deal, and usually watched it anytime I came across one of it's million showings on HBO lately. I haven't seen the sequel, and won't until they show it on TV, but all in all, a cool flick.

  3. watch the second one its good.. its a long wait til they show it on hbo..

  4. Well, We liked first HP movie, and after we watched Chamber of Secrets, we liked it even more. Its more darker story this time around, and I was surprised it had many scary moments. Cool creatures, nice fx and good acting. Good childrens film, without usual Disney sugar coating.

  5. I enjoyed both movies. My girlfriend has read all the books, and I liked the movies enough that I'm thinking about borrowing the books from her and giving them a read.

The one girl in the movie, Hermone or whatever, is going to be a total piece of ass when she grows up.

Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww

  6. My wife kept trying to get to read the books, but I sort of declined since I thought it was like "The Hobbit" lite. Anyway, when I found a leatherbound copy of the first book, I decided to give it a read. Damn, I enjoyed the book. Not the best read, but fun and engrossing none the less.

The movie is a lot of fun too. They did a great job translating the world onto the big screen. Once again, not the best of whats out there, but fun while it lasts.

With the way J.K.R. is releasing her books, it won't take long for the movies to catch up. Of course since its a seven part series that takes place over seven years, the are probably going to have to recast the kids by the fifth or sixth book.

  7. Yes theis are fun.. i think they might change the chars by 4-7. I think these might one day compare to the Chronicals of Narnia, and maybe Lords of the Ring, in
modern English Fantasy Novels.. I dont know if i was the only one, but i kind of saw.. some Lord of the Rings, and Narnia homages in the film, i dont know if these where in the books, but it was kind of cool.

After watching this, i kind of wish they make Chronicals of Narnia films, or atleast the Witch, and Worbdorrb similar to this still.. even with is religos overtones,

  8. Chambers of Secrets is good sequel. The movie is very enjoyable.
