I think you fight on Dragons in Elan Doree, not sure though. Dragon's Spirit on TG16 was quite enjoyable. Not too many others come to mind.
Playing the awesome Panzer Dragoon Orta demo has me itching for some more dragon-riding games.
What are some of your favorites? Besides Panzer, a few of mine are Irem's Dragon Breed and Surreal's Drakan series.

Enix is coming out with Drag-on Dragoon which is an Action RPG that looks pretty damn good so far![]()
Anyone played Dragon Strike? I vaguely remember playing it.
Any word on a domestic release for Drag On Dragoon? It looks damn cool.
Before Unreal was the name of a PC FPS, it was an interesting platformer-adventure-3D shooter hybrid on the Amiga. Published by Ubi Soft in 1990, it had some nifty 3D levels in which you flew on the back of a dragon.

I remember enjoying Dragonriders of Pern (yep, based on McCaffrey's books). I think it was on C64 or Amiga/ST back in 1983 or so. Not much action, but some decent strategy and alliance building. I imagine, however, that it's lost a great deal of its appeal in the last 20 years...

I always wanted to play Unreal. I remember Game Players magazine having ads for it. I thought it was a pure Shadow of the Beast clone. I didn't know it had 3d shooter parts too.
I still haven't played Pern. It doesn't sound like my kind of game but since it's from Epyx, I want to check it out.
There was a Dragonriders of Pern game for the Dreamcast, too.Originally posted by Prince Planet

Also, couldn't you ride dragons in Golden Axe? I mean, they didn't fly, they just walked and could breath fire, but that counts.

Wow, a topic where I get to mention Dragon Blaze. I'm in heaven. This game looks so sweet, and hopefully I'll be able to finish up a transaction for the PCB soon.
