Can some one explain to me why exactly you need a converter for PCE to TG16 games

Just wondering why exactly you need one

when some one first told me that i figured the HU cards were bigger or smaller or something but theyre the same size

I havent tried to play my import HU card on the TG16 but i was just wondering why it wouldnt work

it seems to fit fine *LOL*

i would guess that they changed the pin outs or something on it

just wondering cause im itching to play SFII' on my TG16 *LOL*


was jsut looking for a technical answer figured this place was the best place to ask

they dont have a territorial lock out on the CD games but the simple hu cards

Whatever you do, don't pay the outrageous prices those shoddily-built converters usually go for. TZD is selling "new" ones for $100 each. Screw that. There's a nice guy named Matt on these boards who, as far as I remember, does Turbo mods (providing you send your system to him). Not sure if he's able to do them right now, so send him a PM and ask. I do know that he does very high-quality electronics work.

Matt is currently modding my Genny for S-video and imports. I didn't know he worked with Duos though. I'll have to email him again!


Also, my Duo is acting up on me. For some reason, it won't play most of my CD games. In fact, the only one's it'll play are Dracula X (I guess it has good taste!), Dynastic Hero, and Final Zone 2. Everything else just gives me the BSOD.
