I really liked Final Fantasy Adventure. Alot. Probably more than the pallette swapped plotless filler-fest that was Secret of Mana. Show some lovefor the original.
Don't worry, I really loved the first one too. Also irritates me whenever I hear games in the series being referred to as "Secret of Mana games". Almost as sickening as those who think Final Fantasy began at VII :jest:

Oh yeah?! Well, I bet I want this game more than you do!

  3. I just made an outloud comment about how tremendiously beautiful the screens are and my GF is gettenig jealous. WTF is wrong with her, she acts ans though I plan on leaving her for Brownie Brown. Anyhow this game will be mine, and I will love it like a chind.

If I ever played the original I would probably show some love for it. Otherwise, I have played Secret of Mana which is part of this series and I loved it, and for that reason I am really looking forward to this game. Sorry if that bugs you. And I think Secret of Mana is a really nice looking game.

  6. On that same note, wheres the love for Seiken Densetsu 3? That was an awesome game with 7 differnt story lines and infinate replayability. Lets hear some "that game pwnz," and "taht waz teh R0><0R!!!11!!1"

  7. Neato.

I played through all the FFA games back in the day, so this will be a welcome little pseudo trip down memory lane.

This will be played on the GB GC player no doubt.

Also, fans should be glad to hear that characters that starred in later installments (which actually occur earlier in the SD timeline) will make cameo appearances in Seiken Densetsu: New Testament. The developers aren't saying much, but it should be interesting to see how they'll manage to incorporate heroes that have been dead for millennia."
Wait, wasn't Final Fantasy Adventures originally a PREQUEL to Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3? This remake should be the same in that regard.

I think that's how they're managing to incorporate dead heroes... The game is set in the time period when they are still alive.

I think Aurora likes the pic because it looks like him.

  10. actually Seiken Densetsu 3 takes place over 1000 years before Final Fantasy Adventure. while Secret of Mana was a sequel to Final Fantasy Adventure. so I guess they're mainly talking about the SD3 people.
they could also just pull something like the Tales series with the cameo's and just make em appear but not do anything to change the story like be in minigames and stuff.
anyone know where Legend of Mana fits in the timeline?
