Best Castlevania?

i really love the adventure aspect of simon's quest, but for some reason my heart says III...at the time it came out, the size and scale of the game was simply massive...

Yep. Thankfully I made a $150+ profit from when I bought it to when I sold it. That's truly the only use it had.

Super Castlevania IV has always been my favorite even against tough competition such as Dracula X and SotN.

C'mon, you know Super IV could win on music alone. Throw in the fact that the actual game kicks ass, not to mention the graphics, and the other Castlevanias don't stand a chance.

Super Castlevania 4 is really good, and although the graphics aren't as good, I really liked Bloodline's design, from trekking across Europe to being able to choose more than one character. The lack of multidirectional whipping is quite a shame...

Yeah, it has some control issues (mostly on stairs) and is hard as can be, but I still dig it out every once in a while.
