Thread: 24 is the best television show in history...and has been Renewed for a 3rd Season

  1. Well, They are quite different in style. Twin Peaks is mystery/bizzare, and 24 is more suspensful and action packed.

It just sad. Especially, right after show took another break during Xmas/New Year

Makes you wonder if Reza is still alive, and she leaves him for dead.

Also, I watched preview of next ep, and they have older daugher going undercover into mosque to look for Al Sayed. And torture of Stanton guy by President men, I assume. Should be interesting to see.
Yeah, which begs the question: If Sherry is working with Stanton and the NSA to bring down Palmer, why (as D noted above) was she so willing to give him up right away and sacrifice him?

I have to assume that they want him to fail, and the bomb to go off and to remove Palmer, but, What is the NSA and the rest of this conspiracy doing it for?

Reiza is dead, I think. Took one right in the heart, dude. Dead.

Also, no update on the bomb in what? 2-3 Eps, since the 2 guys killed each other and the one guy took off with the truck. That's odd.

  3. Well, Then with Reza death, I wonder how the investigation will go on. I mean, when CTU will find out about their agents and Rezas death, who will they go after?

The whole conspiracy behind Palmer back, I think is the reason to bring his downfall, and move their own man to president seat, or get more military control. It will be interesting to see where it all leads.

How about Jacks daughter & boyfriend causing a car crash? Was pretty stupid. Now he either have broken bones, or friggin paralyzed, and her on the run again. Will she go to CTU AGAIN, which probably will happen, so she can get Miguel out of LA. Strange, that no one from CTU showed up to get them even though Jack asked Mason about it, from what I recall.

  4. Today's episode sucked. Everything is so drawn out and Jack Bauer is such a wimp now.

  5. Today's was fine. Bauer was not being a wimp, he was doing what was neccesary to find out what needed to be done. Fear is not always the best means of coersion (sic?).
    your mom

  6. the show seems very interesting... but the guy seems to be threatening innocent people alot in the previews so i dont think i would like his character...

  7. Today episode was pretty good. They showed different way Jack used to get info. In Sayed Ali case, it was pain/fear factor combined with with simulated exectution of his family(too bad they didnt actually do it, even if it would be a terrible thing to do, it would have added much more drama to Jacks characters, knowing that he actually did order to kill a child. In Marie case, the bullet wound was hurting her bad enough, so he first worked the pain angle, then tried the family/sister approach, and at the end it worked. Sure, he was going much easier on her and pilot guy, then he was on Ali, but as it was said above, different people might need different approach.

The showdown between president and his ex-wife was pretty good, at the end she gets kicked out in very simular way, as she was in Season 1, but this time her 2nd betrayal might have bigger consequences. It was a good scene how Palmer put her down again, and then secret service took her away.

The only part that really annoys me is Daughter Adventures. Its just plain stupid. I mean she is a friggin magnet for weirdos/criminals and such. At least they somewhat surprised me, with Lonny actually letting her go, without going complete psycho as you would expect. So now we can look forward to see more of her running through woods. Shes pretty much a window dressing this season, to attract guys with jiggling breasts as she runs and runs and runs.

The scene between Kate and Marie was good too. And Marie would have shot Kate, if Jack wouldnt get there in time.

At least they did shine more light on the death of Special Ops team. Last week when they showed those 6 bodies, some were killed pretty neatly, puting it under suspicion that only one man could do that, especially in such tight quarters, but Jack said that few were shot by surprise, and rest tried to struggle. Now there is a matter of missing commando, and is he connected to terrorists or not.

I think Jack is great character. Yes he does threaten innocent people sometimes, but most of the time, its done with good intentions. But he is very ruthless if something needs to be done, and wont stop almost at nothing. The part at the beginning of Season 2, where he shots federal witness, cuts off his head, so he can sneak into militia group was bad ass. And same was scene with capture of Sayed Ali, and later simulated execution of his family.

No, he threatens people that are annoying as hell (which happens to be half the males and all of the females).

  9. Well, Other than Jacks daughter, I dont find any other very annoying characters, and Jack doesnt threaten her

You don't find Kate annoying? All she does is get in the way. Why do they always have her so close so that she can hear people getting tortured? And always with the complaining. "Don't do that." "Don't do this." "I have a right to know." "Oh, you're worse than those terrorists." "Give her painkillers. Waa waa." Ugh. And when they caught Sayed Ali or found that burning body, why did they let her into the rooms? What the hell do you expect to find in situations like these? Those CTU guys should've given her a baton whack to her face.
