Thread: Your small pleasures in life?

  1. On a train, looking out the window, listening to Bjork's "Joga" on headphones.

    *sigh*
The spirit of liberty is the spirit which is not too sure it is always right. -Learned Hand

"Jesus christ you are still THE WORST." -FirstBlood

Nothing like that in the whole world.
I agree 100%. If I'm not bleeding at the end of a show, I don't think I did my job well enough.

A small pleasure of my own: sitting outside at the local coffee-shop, reading some good comics, smoking some cigarettes and enjoying some, well... coffee.

Here's a good one for me: Cross-word Puzzles. I buy books of the things. Same scenario as above, only with cross-words.
    Boo, Hiss.

  5. Talking to Timmy always cheers me up.

    Yoo Hoos.

Drawing a really good doodle in the margins of my notes.

Watching an episode of the Ninja Turtles cartoon.

The transitions between levels in Prikura Daisakusen, specifically the animation of the level marker flags.

When random girls smile at me.

Eating Pho with PaCrappa, BooMsta, Technosphile and Mrs. Technosphile.

Eating candy from bulk food bins.

Sitting in a car on the freeway that passes downtown Seattle, looking at the giant orange cranes at the shipping yard, while listening to good music.

Weed and sugar stick pastry things.

Edit: This only happened once, but it made my day.

I was in the cafeteria waiting for some pizza and some girl is standing at the counter chatting with the chef. With the biggest, stupidest grin on her face she comments, "Now that's what I call cheese!!" I was not amused. I looked at her with the coldest, most disapproving frown, and when we made eye contact, causing her smile to turn upside down warmed my heart.

Also, going by a window of an expensive restaurant and flipping off the people eating inside is priceless.
