Cave often uses intentional slowdown. I would imagine that's the case here.

I don't think it's the "usual" slowdown. I've played every cave shooter with the exception of progear, and it's present more than any other. It's not to the point where its ridiculous or anything, but like I said more than any other cave game I've played.

I died a roughly equal amount on the harder levels then the semi hard levels (excluding boss fight), because of slowdown help. I also think they would have added the wait option if they could get the game to run without any slowdown.

Whatever the case is, this is still one of the best games i've played in a long time.

Death label makes it "boss only" mode. Only this time 1)the bosses are of "loop" caliber, and 2) You have full power to start off (and five Hypers).

I lasted about 45 seconds on black label, which is 40 seconds longer than I thought I would last. I also tried the second loop final boss, and I was able to get through a few of its patterns (id say 3 out of 100)- so I'm feeling pretty good about myself.

I think only people watching the dvds on their ps2 are having skipping problems. I had no problems watching it on my cpu, but I had to reburn it & remove the region to watch it on my regular dvd player. The dvd is really nice and well put together.

I didn't realize that your bombs get replenished and you can gain extra lives in death label. I was able to get to the final boss in death label by just using all of my hypers. Of course it's not REALLY getting to the last boss since its almost like a cheat, but it was a big psychological boost nonetheless.
