The arcade and NES originals were made by Data East, AFAIK. Ocean made the later games. Robocop NES wasn't horrible, but also not worth playing IMO. Man, I used to be blown away by the arcade game's graphics...

I vaguely recall someone telling me it was to tie in with the Japanese release of said movie. Speaking of which, I ought to rent that sometime. Could be decent.

Silius was originally going to be a game based on The Terminator movie license.

    You are correct!

Heh, I realized I was 30 seconds after posting and went back to edit out the doubt. You beat me to it though.

  5. I loved Roadblasters in the arcade (the steering wheel and pedal were so cool) and I loved it even more on my Lynx. I haven't played the game in years, though, so who knows how well it's really held up.

  6. I'm playing Road Blasters now on my Nomad, and it still rules all.

  7. Operation Wolf is the best 8 bit light gun game after Rescue Mission. That's all I can remember...

The problem with the NES version of Operation Wolf is that it forces you to play with the controller to get far. I can't remember the reason but with the gun it was abnormally difficult due to some flaw. I should dig the game out of my closet to try it again.

  9. I loved the arcade version of Roadblasters. One of the first game that had a multiplier scoring gimmick. Great fun. The Lynx port was the only one I remeber being worth it's salt.

The Genesis version of Roadblasters was surprisingly good. Of course now with a near arcade-perfect version on Playstation, there's little reason to go back to it.
