SFIII is one of the few fighting games where I'll play as ANY character. In fact, I rather playing as Q, Necro and Alex. Why? The challenge! And here's the thing: THEY'RE ALL WELL ANIMATED AND THEY MOVE SMOOTHLY.

Mostly in Neo-Geo and CPS2 fighters certain characters are just animated badly so they don't FEEL right when playing. They feel clunky or they whizz around the screen with no style, like Choi (or is it Chang?) in KoF. Yes, it's fun to play as the Seishus and Kyos and Akumas in those games but they're the stylish, well animated ones.

Oh, and the character roster in Alpha 3 is a travesty. Whenever I play that game I get to the character select screen and think 'Hm, I should pick someone different but they're mostly crap. I'll just stick with Ken. Again.'

MotW's characters are animated almost as well, but the clincher is that they're not all fugly. I mean, they even managed to make Chun Li look ugly. What's up with that?

Uh....how can it be a travesty when it's made up of almost every Street Fighter and Final Fight character? I think your eyes are just broken.

Well, MOTW is one of my favorite 2d fighters. I like its presentation and characters, it has nice graphics and music, and I found it easy to pick up and play. I personally prefer this to FF3.

I'm mixed about the characters in SF3. I'd say it's a mediocre roster comparted to most games. SF3 introduced Dudley, who is one of my all time favorite characters. Ryu, Ken, Akuma, and Chun Li all look amazing. Alex and Sean are cool to. Aside from them, I do not like most of the characters. Necro and Oro are somewhat interesting. Hugo has great moves, but looks...not good. Q is forgettable, so is 12. Urien has a kick ass fighting style, but his speedo's just don't do it for me. The Kung Fu twins, Ibuki, and the two other girls are kind of forgettable.

SF3's a great game, one of my all time faves. Brilliant Animation, excellent fighting engine, just a bit mediocre roster. I wish I could play it with my MAS stick...

Whatever. Chun Li was the hottest drawing since Jim Lee Rogue back when. Now she's this weird beefcake birdface thing. Even Xena wouldn't do her with those skull-crushing thighs.

i have to agree while im not the hugest fan of SFA3 (i prefer 2) it does have a killer roster

I mean it has just about everyone who appeared in SF and SFII and MORE

thats just alot of characters to pick from

i would wager that the only game with a larger selection of fighters is Marvel Vs Capcom 2 (not sure off hand how many are in CvS2 that may have more also)

I tell you what id like to see a MotW 2 or a SFIV done with their same levels of animation just in high res 2d like GGX

isnt it Cammy that has the one move where she jumps ups wraps her legs around the opponets neck and then smacks them to the ground

youd think shed have bigger thighs from that move
