"Do you think men are only interested in you because of your body?"
"No. I'm rich, too, darling," replies Lara Croft.
That's just a taste from one of three promotional spots which you can catch on the G4 network in just a few days. Yes, Lara's gotten bigger than ever (and no, we're not talking cup size here). But don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got... some consider her to be a pre-madonna of sorts, but her roots still remain gaming oriented.
Eidos Interactive/Core Design have teamed up with G4, the all new acclaimed video gaming network to feature the vixen explorer in a dynamic marketing program to promote the Tomb Raider franchise and the cable channel.
Beginning next month, G4 will begin featuring three "Tomb Raider" commercial spots featuring Lara Croft. Each promo is scheduled to run over the next six months (we've got ahold of them now though so you don't have to wait till then). You'll catch them even more frequently once the next video game installment - Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness debuts in Spring 2003 and the second Tomb Raider feature film - Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life (the what now?) is released in theatres this July. All of the ads employ tongue-in-cheek humor, approaching Lara Croft not as a video game character, but as the real-life superstar she has become, as she is interviewed by a G4 reporter in various outdoor locales.
The promotional spots will also be integrated into G4's online marketing program and circulated the network's electronic newsletter reaching over 35,000 avid gamers and G4 fans. Moreover, Croft will infiltrate college campuses when the promo spots air on Zilo, the leading nationwide college TV network (Note: Zilo currently airs G4: TV 4 Gamers, a specially produced weekly half-hour series featuring highlights of G4 programming – see the connection?).
Spots will stream from the G4 website and link to Eidos Interactive's site. Enjoy the movies below. Right click on your mouse and select "Save Target as..."

MK2 on XBLA plz - let the unfolding of gameplay begin!!
Wow, so all 3 people who actually have G4-TV get to be blasted with Tomb Raider ads twice during every commercial break. Shes the flavor of the month I suppose. Just like Stuntman, xXx and anyone else who will actually give G4 money.
No matter what, I'm fairly confident that the Tomb Raider name is dead. Angel of Darkness probably won't generate anymore hype then what it's gotten (Outside of Core blowing their mouths).
They should really just put the whole thing to rest. It got old, fast.

Well, I'm still looking forward TR AD. It looks like a pretty cool action game. From the game movies I seen, it looks nice, and have enough action for me to enjoy it.
Who cares about TR hate here, I'll be getting it this April.
Personally I am looking forward to AoD, despite the negative feedback I heard about it. That's not to say I won't be dishing out a bit of my own negative comments come next month when I post the GBA review of Tomb Raider: The Prophecy (you can get a taste of it from the latest Gaming Report edition. As for the film...well, I LOVE Angelina, but her acting was very wooden and the story was even worse. So I am hoping that her second film will provide a more successful performance.
Niiiiiicece rack though. ^_^

I would be excited about the new Tomb Raider, but I've been let down too many times in the past. I absolutely love the original game. One of my favorite 3-D adventure games of all time, no doubt. The second one was pretty okay, but wasn't near as good. The third one was horrible. The fourth one promised to take it back to "it's roots"...I think thats the one where Lara went to Area 51. I can't even remember because after 3 they all started blurring together. I'll give TR:AoD a shot, but I'm just not excited about it.
