Xbox Live will apparently be required for both online and offline play.
Microsoft has officially dropped word that it will be distributing the upcoming <b>Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II</b> for Xbox this March. As many have already been made aware, the Xbox edition will fully be playable through Xbox Live and support the Xbox headset (now, you'll be able to curse out all of those cursed PKers out there!)
To play the game online, Xbox Live subscribers will be required to buy a "hunter's license," which gives gamers the ability to travel on wild adventures with other PSO players. Plus, you'll get access to an extensive range of downloadable content including seasonsal quests, rare in-game items among other goodies. The hunter's license is free of charge for the first two months, and after that will carry a service fee of $8.95 per month.
