The last original Miyamoto game was Pikmin.Originally posted by NeoZeedeater
Because I think there have been too many since Ocarina between Majora's and all the Game Boy ones. I would like to see some new series from Miyamoto.
*barfs*
I hear you, some new stuff would be nice. Being a big Zelda fan though puts me in an akward position since I love anything and everything Zelda. Maybe I can get both, we shall see. At least we're getting some new stuff from capcom.
D
Hey now, Pikmin ruled. I'd love to see a new Zelda. I look at the portable Zeldas as totally seperate entities than the console versions since the gameplay is so different in each. As long as they don't re-use the same gameplay style too many times in too little a time frame, I don't mind it one bit.

Even if Wind Waker turns out to be the best game ever made, Nintendo really needs to take a break on Zelda.
However, you make an excellent point.Originally posted by NeoZeedeater
Yeah, I know those other Zeldas weren't his. I'm just craving for new stuff from Nintendo. They seem more sequel-focused than ever. At least when it comes to their really good stuff. New games like Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing weren't excellent.
I don't think Nintendo's really in a position to take chances, whoring their biggest property is probably the best (if least creative) way to go.
It's sad to say but any Mario, Zelda, Star Fox or Donkey Kong game they release I'm going to lap up and buy without even so much as a rental.
I'm shallow but I love me my Nintendo games.
But they were a far cry from bad as well.Originally posted by NeoZeedeater

Most 3rd party games out on the PS2, and Xbox (and GC) are not good, period. Or they are good, but few are excellent. Devil May Cry and MGS may be 'cool' and such, but when compared, gamewise, to a Zelda or Mario they fail to shine.
Actually DMC plays very well... so does MGS. Ok, so they do. But atleast Capcom is bringing their newness to the table with the Capcom 5 (now 5 with megaman tacked on for good measure!)
I can't wait to get my hands on Viewtiful Joe.

HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1

Nintendo's new games are the shit.
My wife has been playing Animal Crossing for almost 7 months. 7 MONTHS!!! A woman who previously refused to buy me games for my birthday now plays my GC more than me. The other day she asked when part two was coming and if it'll be online. I nearly cried.
Nintendo can milk their franchises all they want, as long as I get a new and refreshing title like AC every so often.
If Miyamoto makes a new Zelda that is a blast to play, I could care less if it was a sequel. Of course it'll be about three years before we will see one.
Bring em' on.
Pikmin is fantastic and is another reason why I would like to see new Miyamoto games.
