Well that's like, your opinion, man.

Well, I'm counting the two that are shipping over the next two months, the LttP rerelease and yeah, I'm pretty sure the GBC Zelda 1 rerelease was after OoT. Since the rereleases contain new material and are going largely to an audience who had never played them before, they still count as flooding the market.

Jeremy, I have played Animal Crossing. I'm still looking for the hidden Jaleco label on it.

But Oot, a straight rehash right down to the characters, dual worlds and even the fucking triangles, is perfect?

It was Zelda in 3D, which had never been done before. That was enough to make it interesting. Majora's Mask was a stright rehash of OoT, though, with a few new ideas which I thought detracted from the game rather than adding anything to it. I'm not saying that OoT was perfect. It had plenty of flaws, but I thought it was a compelling game despite them.

  6. Meh. I found Majora's Mask to be more interesting than OoT, myself. I'm not sure why the people who had an near-sexual experience over OoT find Majora's Mask to be so bland in comparison. OoT may have been the first vision of Zelda in 3D, and MM makes no bones about lifting 95% of OoT's game engine, yet backed it up with some really decent additions. That, and I found the dungeons in MM slightly more enjoyable.

But I guess my view is skewed considering I played through MM first and OoT second.

You mean the Triforce? Isn't that in every Zelda that isn't considered a side story? (i.e. Majora's Mask)
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

  8. I think the main issue with Majora's Mask was that people played OoT to death and when Majora's Mask hit they didn't have a long enough resting period. I was playing OoT a year and a half after release just looking for skultulas, doing bombchu bowling and finding new treasures I missed.

I also didn't like how in MM when you beat a dungeon and went back in time it reset. I don't like doing things over and over and over again. Maybe I missed a shortcut at the end or something.

  9. I know but I think for some missions you have to redo them. Or in the snow missions where you have to find the old guy (I think this is MM) it took like 3 tries to get it right (the whole mission, not just this objective in it) so I found myself having to go back in time.

I must say that it is a very interesting game. Unique.

The reason the Zelda series in itself is so awesomely changing but still familiar.
