Thread: Half-Life for the Dreamcast released...

  1. it's easier if someone could just send the iso to me over aim. if anyone with a broadband connection and a few minutes could help me out, write me a pm, please? thanks in advance.

  2. Sweet! Now I can play Half-Life at 640x480 on my PC monitor!

Apparently, this release is an older beta and not the final version, so it doesn't run as well as the final. Not that I really care about a game I already played on PC so long ago.

  4. I guess it's time to update my Half Life DC web page .

Well, I was much more interested in this game before I learned Sierra went the path of Hoyle and Maxmium Pool with the CE crap.

Still I think I'll be breaking my policy against piracy on this one.

Hopefully someone will leak Dee Dee Planet one day, the game got complete but was canned due to network errors. *-neo

  5. You guys are classic. Dogging a game when you have no idea what it is exactly you're playing. Like the poster above said this is a beta and quite an early one at that. There is a final version that runs much smoother framerate wise with less loading but now it's been canned (was to be released) b/c of the douchebags who leaked the beta. Gotta love pirates and from the looks of it you all were only too willing to help.

Damnit, I've got the perfect poster for this on my wall, but don't have a digital camera around.
You probably don't think I'm a very nice guy...

    Maximum Pool rules.

And I was one of the many people who were upset over HL's cancellation, for at the time, I lacked a powerful enough PC to play the game, and I had never even played it before. And even though I've played the PC version, I'm interested in seeing how the DC version turned out, if only to compare it to Quake 3 (which was an incredible port, btw).

What's the point in comparing an imperfect beta against an official release?

The game was canned over a year and a half ago. Piracy isn't killing a release. *-neo
